The Reading Terminal Market is one of the largest and oldest public markets in the United States and it’s a great place to stop into for lunch. If you want to take your visit a step further, you can also hop on this walking tour inside that will deep dive into the market’s history, give you some backstories on the family-owned merchants and grants you a sweet treat on the house.
8. Museum of the American Revolution– $27+
This museum offers a complete historical overview of before, during and after the American Revolution. It’s truly a history lovers’ dream come true. The Museum of the American Revolution is also home to some pretty cool memorabilia, like George Washington’s war headquarter tent.
9. Nightlife Bar Tour– $36+
Thirsty? This unique bar tour in Philly will bring you to spots so hidden, some locals haven’t even heard of them. You’ll get all of the intel on the nightlife scene in Philadelphia, a liquor tasting and will be able to skip the line and door fee at each stop.

The main building alone at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is home to 200 galleries of world-class art from legends like Monet, Van Gogh and Duchamp. I don’t know if anyone else on this planet is as obsessed with escape rooms as I am, but I always LOVE doing one of these challenges when I’m in a new city, especially if it’s a rainy day. The Escape Game King of Prussia has 4 different immersive rooms to choose from, and you can get up to 12 friends or family in here at a time to play!
12. Holiday Lights Trolley Tour – $60+
Visiting Philly during the holidays? This trolley tour will bring you around to some of the best Christmas lights displays in the city! Enjoy live holiday music, top attractions like the Miracle on 13th Street and if you want, you can also BYOB.
