1. CiCi’s Cafe

From taste to presentation, Cici truly has turned this cafe into a literal heaven on Earth. First opening up back in 2006, she made customers drool with 13 different kinds of homemade pancakes; I’m talking flavors like Green Tea Tiramisu and Chocolate Velvet. I know.

Kirari has actually dedicated its entire inventory to being gluten-free, ensuring that there is no possibility of cross-contamination in their bakery.

6. Manhattan Beach Post

Manhattan Beach Post is another menu that highlights small plate options. Michelin-starred chef, David LeFevre, has created an artisanal menu which is paired with small production wines and hand-crafted cocktails, making Manhattan Beach Post a great option for a boozy brunch.

Location: Manhattan Beach

7. Huckleberry Cafe

Huckleberry Cafe is a family restaurant that has been a favorite for Angelenos for years. Owners Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan were born and raised in Santa Monica, falling more and more in love with each other after every shift they worked together at Rustic Canyon restaurant. Now, they’ve made each other’s dream of opening a restaurant come true by creating Huckleberry Cafe from the ground up. Though they of course keep their classic favorites on the menu, you’ll never know what new items have been added to the list, as the culinary team changes their recipes with the seasons.

9. Court Cafe

Court Cafe is a brunch spot that always seems to be swarming with excited guests. Do you want to try an omelette taco? Well, say less. Maybe that’s not your thing. How about lobster and waffles? I’m telling you, when it comes to innovation, Court Cafe is a genius in the making.

10. Republique

Republique is a well-known spot, as Chef Walter Manzke has a long line of culinary experience following behind him. Though their entire menu is incredible, for an added pleasure, you can book Table 500 on Thursdays and Fridays, accessing a curated menu experience featuring Chef’s 12-course tasting menu.

Location: Mid-City

11. All Day Baby

All Day Baby is a newer restaurant, opening in the winter of 2019. As we all know, many challenges came to the restaurant industry shortly after that date and All Day Baby had their fair share of struggles in maintaining a new business. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again: SHOP LOCAL, but in this case, SHOP FOR THE ADB BISCUIT SANDWICH. All day baby.

Location: Silver Lake

12. Watts Coffee House

Watts Coffee House is a beloved cafe with lots of culture. Walls lined with art and people laughing over cups filled to the brim with caffeine, Edwards truly fostered a sense of community in a place that may have needed it the most. Fighting for activism and equal rights, especially within the Black community, Watts Coffee House has served as a place for people to come together and heal one sip at a time.

Manuela’s menu celebrates some of the best ingredients from local farms and producers in Southern California. 14. The Nest: A Breakfast Joint

Just reading The Nest’s menu will make your mouth water. Let me drop some trigger words for you: Custard French Toast. Breakfast Poutine. Bacon Waffle. Did that get you? No? Okay, then maybe you have more self control than I do. Either way, I’ll see you at breakfast.

15. Destroyer

Destroyer is a very aesthetic spot down to the very font on their menu. For a more upscale brunch experience, you can count on Destroyer serving you only ingredients that are the best of the best to start your long weekend of doing nothing.

Location: Culver City

16. Angelini Osteria

The Angelini Restaurant Group is famous for their Italian dishes that seem to just melt in your mouth. Their menu is pretty extensive, so there is something for everyone, but to recommend just one dish off of their list would be sinful–I could never choose.

Location: Beverly Grove

17. Redbird

As Jonathan Gold with LA Times said, “You feel as if you are part of something bigger than yourself, a hungry, chattering component of a grand pleasure machine.” Redbird’s atmosphere is reason to go in itself, as it’s set in a dreamy outdoor area overlooking the city under the garden lights. However, would you believe me if I told you their food is ever better than the ambience?

Location: DTLA

18. Little Ruby

Little Ruby hits home for me, as it’s an Aussie concept and I have so many fond memories of going out for brunch with friends when I studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia. Location: Santa Monica

19. Butcher’s Daughter

21. Little Dom’s

There are two types of people: Those who will order the Weekend Mimosa Special and those who will order Eggs Bruschetta for breakfast. I am both. Welcome the weekend with the endless menu in this pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. Who knows, you might even take the initiative to walk off your side orders of bacon afterward.

Location: Les Feliz

22. Salt’s Cure

Salt’s Cure is kind of the best of both worlds as it offers dishes that are healthy, but also comfort food all-in-one. In fact, their oatmeal pancakes have been so popular that they’ve even created a mix that you can buy and bake for yourself at home if your Sunday is too lazy to be bothered leaving your bedroom.

Location: Hollywood

23. Go Get Em Tiger

Go Get Em Tiger has lots of food options for the hungry brunchers, but their best items are simply their coffee and pastries. I mean, just look at that photo above and tell me I’m wrong. You can’t.

Location: Arts District

24. True Food Kitchen

True Food is true to their name in that all of their dishes are cooked as purely and freshly as humanly possible. Some of their featured brunch items are vegan/gluten-free banana pancakes and smashed avocado toast, but why limit yourself to dishes? I mean, you should see their cocktail list….

26. Foxy’s Restaurant

Location: Glendale

Foxy’s is a diner that’s been alive longer than I have (1964). What sets them apart in Los Angeles (besides their great food and atmosphere) is their low prices and generous helpings, which seems to be a rare occurrence in this city. Cheers to that, Foxy’s.
