Top 8 New York Lifestyle Bloggers
The best way to keep up with the trends in the city is to follow someone that can do it for you! These 10 Lifestyle Bloggers are ready to cater to all of your New York City needs, whether it be food, entertainment, style or personal life.

Erica Choi founded Egg Canvas in July 2014 in order to share fashion, travel, beauty and lifestyle stories. After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design, she landed a job at a luxury retailer known as Barneys New York. There, she holds the title of Senior Director of Digital Design, while running this blog on the side. The name Egg Canvas comes from dalgyal, which is the Korean word for egg and also her nickname while growing up. She believes that Egg and Canvas work together “as a metaphor for life, as life is about creation and a blank canvas that can be dreamt up and painted anew everyday.”

Jamie Chung is an actress and a blogger all bundled up into one beautiful human. She uses What the Chung to “share some of her journeys on and off set, favorite places to eat and what is inspiring her at the moment.” The most inspiring aspect of her site is known as #InstantKarma. She uses this section to get to know her followers by allowing them to share their heartfelt stories. Jamie then picks one lucky blogger, posts their story on her blog and sends them a little gift for good karma all around.
3. @taza

Naomi, who is also known as Taza, is the founder of Love Taza. She has a husband and five children, so we really love the family section of her blog that includes cute little dates in the city, motherhood, fun and learning. This theme goes across the board as she doesn’t only include the best eats in town, but also the best toddler eats–which is important. Follow her and her family around the city through her NYC Guide and Little Films.
4. @graceatwood

Grace Atwood is the founder and voice behind one of the most aesthetically pleasing blogs called The Stripe. This blog has a whole section dedicated just to Holidays (our personal favorite). This section features styles for the holidays along with a shopping and gift guide section. Before she dedicated herself to The Stripe as a full time gig, she was the director for social media at BaubleBar and before that, marketing for Proctor & Gamble and Coty. We love her fresh takes on the city and hearing all about her new beauty, style and traveling tips.
5. @cupofjo

One of the coolest aspects of Joanna’s blog is the option to learn more about each of the photos she has posted on Instagram. There is a section on the home page that showcases all of her recent photos, and when you click on them, the website will bring you to a new page with a full article about the photo that was uploaded. She also has a Relationships section and a Motherhood section, which make her stand out from other bloggers.
6. @maryorton

Mary Orton is an upscale New York blogger that does not fail to hold back the sassy Instagram captions. She is also the founder of The Trove App, which can be downloaded in the App Store, that helps people explore outfits from top fashion influencers in the ultimate mobile style and shopping experience. On her blog, Memorandum, you can also purchase her looks that are featured on her Instagram.
7. @yorkavenue_

I’d describe York Avenue as the introvert’s favorite blog. Instead of flashy photos with the founder exploring the city’s trendiest places, it features interior design feats, stores and books to check out! I truly love this spin on the traditional blog. Founder Jacqueline Clair says, “My aim is to share the things I love, whether it be a home decor find, a new favorite brunch spot in New York City, or a great book I just finished, for me, it is these small things that make life beautiful.”

NotJessFashion was launched in 2014 by Jessica Wang, who is a top NYC fashion blogger and Chinese-American digital influencer. She has starred in Make Up For Ever’s nationwide campaign “BLEND IN. STAND OUT.” in 2017 and was featured on a 4-page spread in People’s Stylewatch along with working for many other top-tier brands. Her high quality photos make it no secret as to why she has over 724K Instagram followers. Jessica Wang truly is a fashion icon to keep your eyes on.
9. @retroflame

Founder Erika Fox spent her college summers in NYC and after graduation, decided to live there permanently. She recently was named one of IrishCentral’s ‘Top 40 Digital Influencers’ in the U.S. and one of the ‘Top 20 New York Style Bloggers’. Retro Flame encapsulates all of Erika’s travels, work, clothing and inspirations while collaborating with brands such as Vera Wang, Michael Kors, and Ted Baker, bringing her fan base to over 100,000 followers. This retro flame is definitely leaving her imprint on the fashion industry.
10. @_laurennelson_

Lauren Nelson’s blog will literally put you at ease simply by looking at the calming colors and fonts she’s incorporated–not to mention her posts! She hits on things she loves most, such as interiors, travel, style and beauty. If you want to get to know more about her, the About Page on her blog has tons of cute facts, such as her favorite nail color (Lincoln Park After Dark).
Each one of these women are slightly different than the next and their voices, styles and personal brands shine through their personal blogs. This is a wonderful aspect because it helps you in finding the person who can really speak to you and what you want to find in New York, whether that be an introvert, an entrepreneur or a mother!
